Sustainability fund

Since 2021 and as a further measure of the sustainability strategy, there has been a sustainability fund at the University of Bayreuth. University members can voluntarily pay money into the sustainability fund "overall university measures" and its earmarked sub-fund "research and teaching" from unrestricted third-party funds (donations without earmarking) or profits from economic activities and industrial revenues.
Payments into these funds are only open to members of the University. In addition, there is the sustainability fund of the university association "greencampus.ubt" into which external parties can also pay.
The money is used to finance sustainability projects or, in the case of the "research and teaching" sub-fund, e.g. sustainability research or teaching assignments on the topic of sustainability.
