GreenCampus

GreenCampus is the sustainability office of the University of Bayreuth. Since our founding in 2016, we have been bundling all activities related to sustainability on campus, providing a point of contact for sustainability issues of all kinds.

Our team runs a variety of projects, often in cooperation with students and other stakeholders at the University. In the same way, we support the implementation of already planned projects at or for the University. Our goal is to implement a range of projects that make our campus more sustainable, more environmentally friendly and a bit better.

We are the interface between the University Governing Board, the Presidential Advisory Committee for Sustainability and other campus members (students, staff members, etc.). At this interface, we have already been able to provide guidance through a large number of projects. For example, we have coordinated the development of the sustainability strategy, award the annual sustainability prize for theses together with the university association and the University Governing Board, and were involved in the conception and introduction of the supplementary programme in sustainability.
