Energy efficiency

To promote energy efficiency, we are expanding energy supply via renewable energies (e.g. photovoltaics) and further reducing energy consumption.
In 2022, an Energy Taskforce was founded under the leadership of the Provost, Dr. Nicole Kaiser, which was made up of experts and representatives of the various groups at the University of Bayreuth. The
aim of the taskforce was to develop and implement
various solutions and measures for saving energy in teaching, research and administration,
while taking into account individual requirements.
