Carsharing - from a stationary car to a vehicle

• Carsharing is the perfect solution for anyone who only needs a car from time to time.
• Carsharing is cheaper than buying and maintaining your own vehicle and conserves resources.
• While a “normal” car stands around unused for an average of 23 hours a day, car sharing vehicles are used for around   eight hours a day.

Carsharing in Bayreuth

• Ökobil e.V. from Bamberg has been offering car sharing in Bayreuth under the meiaudo brand since 2015.
• The service is the result of a cooperation with the University of Bayreuth.
• Four vehicles of different sizes are currently available.
• Two of them are located in the immediate vicinity of the university.
• Ökobil e.V. is sustainable and ecological. The association acts fairly, collaboratively, transparently and without the intention of making a profit.

Three different offers for using the vehicles

• You can conveniently register for meiaudo CarSharing via the meiaudo app or online via Become a user https://meiaudo.de/fahrzeuge-nutzen.html.
  
  
• With the “einfach Fahren” offer, there are no regular fees and you only pay for the actual use.

✗ The time and mileage prices are based on the prices of Flinkster (Deutsche Bahn's car sharing service) and are higher than in the other two tariffs.
✗ This offer is suitable for people who rarely drive.
✗ You can register for the “simply drive” tariff very quickly.
✗ Your driving license and ID card are validated online and you can get started after confirming your application.

• You become a member of Ökobil e.V. with the “Fahren & Mitbestimmen ohne Einlage” offer.

✗ You pay an annual membership fee and a monthly fee for the provision of the cars.
✗ In return, the actual use is inexpensive.
✗ This offer is suitable for people who want to drive regularly.
✗ Registration for this tariff is usually completed within a few days.
✗ Students can apply for the reduced fare variant.

• The “Fahren & Mitbestimmen mit Einlage” offer is comparable to “Fahren & Mitbestimmen ohne Einlage".

✗ Only the monthly commitment fee is lower, but you pay a one-off deposit when you join - this is refunded when you leave.
✗ All other conditions apply in the same way as “Drive & Co-determine”.

• With the meiaudo account, you can book the vehicles of many other providers in Germany, Austria and Italy without further registration - this also includes Flinkster vehicles, for example; then at the conditions of the respective provider.
